POCKET BIKES AND SAFETY

PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND FULLY BEFORE PURCHASING OR RIDING OUR POCKET BIKES

Safety is our primary concern at MiniPocketRockets, and should be yours as well. Riding gas pocket bikes can provide miles of fun and enjoyment if safety is kept in mind. Below are some very important tips to greatly reduce the chance of injury when riding pocket bikes.
  1. Always wear a DOT approved full-face helmet when riding pocket bikes (such as the ones we offer on our web site). Always buckle the chin strap when using the helmet.
  2. Always wear protective gear such as elbow pads and kneepads when riding pocket bikes. Make sure they are fastened snugly. Shin guards are also recommended for further protection.
  3. Always wear gloves that will protect the rider. Many motorcycle gloves, such as the ones we offer on our web site, also have extra protection for the knuckles and palms of your hand in case your hands come in contact with the ground when racing pocket bikes.
  4. Long sleeved shirts and full length pants are needed to prevent minor scrapes if the rider does happen to fall. Full leather attire will further protect the rider if he or she happens to fall while operating pocket bikes.
  5. Always do a safety check before each ride. This includes tire pressure, tightening of all screws and bolts, chain tension and all adjustments on the pocket bike.
  6. Keep the pocket bike well maintained. Oil the chain every four hours of riding and adjust the tension of all cables for throttle and brakes after every riding session. Be sure to use the correct amount of oil / gasoline mixture. The bottle provided will give an accurate measurement when filling up your tank on these pocket bikes.
  7. Unless it is legal in the area you are riding, please do not ride these vehicles on public roads. Most every single one of our pocket bikes are legal to own in all 50 states; Some of our super pocket bikes may even be registered with the DMV and be ridden on public roads for transportation. Please check with your local DMV for details.
  8. Do not ride in conditions that may impair your visibility or reaction time. Night time riding, riding in fog, snow or rain can greatly increase chances of injury.
  9. If minors are riding pocket bikes, there must be adult supervision at all times. All riders must obey local and state laws as well as having complete knowledge of all safety precautions and measures.
  10. Do not ride pocket bikes in areas where there may be animals, people or other moving vehicles unless it is legal in your area.
  11. The ideal terrain for most of our pocket bikes is a flat and smooth pavement free from cracks and loose debris. The pavement must be dry and free from excessive paint, as it may cause the tires to slip in a turn.
